A Survey for LGBT Parents

A national study is under way to help colleges and universities better understand the issues faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) parents of college students and recent graduates. A survey conducted by the University of Maryland is exploring experiences of LGBT parents, their interactions with schools attended by their students, and the overall campus climate for LGBT parents and their students.

If you are the parent of a college student or someone who has graduated within the past five years, and you self-identify as LGBT, you may participate in a survey. The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete, responses are anonymous, and participants are eligible for one of five gift certificates. The survey is available at:
